This is an extension of the thread “Water heater quote given to customer.

It appears that many plumbers in Plumbing Zone would like the opportunity to share ideas concerning sales and customer interaction.

Richard has confirmed that he will discuss the basics of sales and how to make sales training stick with you and your staff for the long run verses a few months.

He promises that this will not be traditional sales training which is available through sales organizations. He will go over 4 main points that direct mind sets and will give your sales effort a direction verse cute answers and the appearance of your staff.

There will be no objection, closing type materials unless you ask for suggestions in the Q and A time after the presentation.

Any one who would be interested in participating plz post your interest here

OldSchool and you thought my other posts are long winded.

Traditional sales training teaches you how to recognize and answer objections as a single event. They teach a cute one liner to objections that seem to confuse the customer into saying yes. Once the one liners stop working it is abandoned and the staff is right back to where they were before the training. Typical training teaches you how to close and again it is a single event in the process with closing questions aimed at getting to a yes or no and then repeating the exact same steps if it is a no or immediately dropping your price.

Traditional training tells you to do this and expect this result. Why? Because I said so, it works so do it. What happens when the customer does not answer in the way your staff has been taught? Remember that you tube video of the guy stumbling bumbling his way through the process. Traditional sales training teaches manipulation as a means to an end. And some of it teaches you to sell by way of receiving no to many of the offerings to get the yes to the main task.

Traditional sales training helps for a few months and starts to dissipate and disappear within 6 months only to have to repeat those steps over and over. 1 hour training per week is forgotten by the next week’s training session.

Traditional sales training does not give you a foundation to build upon and a direction that will benefit the customer, company, and plumber, HVAC, electrician. It gives one way to complete a transaction and is not forgiving if not done properly.

1.My proposal is to share how to build a foundation that will stick around longer than a day or 2.It will enhance your company while giving your employees a chance to succeed ad build confidence towards the future. It can give you direction to success if and when you implement the new strategies. When we have success we have people vested in what they are doing and they remain interested. Let us set up a strategy to get your employees vested into your company by giving a direction to build on that foundation.

2. The second portion will discuss what it will take to implement the above and make sure it is crystal clear to all that are involved. This is not a threat to lose a job. This is a promise from you the company and a promise from your employees that will affect your clients in a positive outlook.

3. Discussion concerning clarity with you the company, employee, and customer

4. Communication once again between the company, employees and customers.

The main point and focus to be passed to you is a way to gain a natural progression of consent that leads to a natural conclusion to use you. During this webinar and my proposal to you we will not discuss how to answer objections or how to asking closing questions. I want to pass to you the ability to present your solution without receiving objections or asking /begging the customer to choose to own.

I will answer your questions concerning objections and closing the sale after the presentation is over and during the question and answer portion. There are no questions you cannot ask. I have nothing to hide. However when you follow the 4 steps you will see an increase in your efforts and will be amazed at the difference they make. You will see that you do not need sales techniques to increase your earning potential initially. At some point you will want to increase your sales skills and learn how to answer basic objections and seek a closed service call with the difficult customers. However today the 4 steps will enhance your everyday life with the people you interact with on a daily basis.

I can set the webinar to take place on a Saturday afternoon or a Thursday evening 8:00 EST to accommodate the west coast.

I will need email addresses to email the specifications to join a gotomeeting webinar. Send your email to me.

I hope Nathan and the rest of the mods will particpateand give thier approval.

This is not just for those who approve of a sales process and system it is for those who are opposed to traditional sales.

You will be free to discuss what we talk about on line and in plumbing zone.
