Alot of it depends on how you run your particular business. I do mostly service and I sell mostly labor. I travel light as I work out of a pickup. I've found that even if your stocked well there's always going to be something you need for that specific job anyway. Most of my work is within 5-15min of my garage or supply house.

I stock almost everything I would need for repair. I also stock a couple mid range faucets, 1 shower valve,1 disposal, several FF sillcocks, no water heaters,no toilets. It can vary greatly depending how you make your $.

I stock the bear essentials, lite service repair stuff, a couple of common rebuild kits for older style bath facuets, cheap faucets for rental properties, and an assortment of pipe and fittings. Sewer cables, and locater, and thats about it.

Talking stock everything...but get a good set up first

you just cant throw the stuff in the van,
you have to make a good use of all the space you have

we have our e350 vans set up all alike...

I should take a picture of the insides of it ...

we have about 66 bins on the drivers side that can hold
all the basics...

then shelves galore to carry just about everything
under the sun....

some of the fittings in my truck have probaby got 150k miles on them

you know the area you live in better than I do, so all
you have to do is remember what you have used and odds are you will eventually get a good grip on supplies...

if you want pics...let me know

Surely there is one, there's one for messy trucks, I think we should have a "How we keep our trucks" sticky. If they make one, I'll even take some pics.

Heres one
Service truck stock list

Just type in "truck stock" on the search tab.

Easy peasy. Japaneasy.

I know the obvious, such as copper, pex, drain piping and fittings, but what about water filters, faucets, and pumps. Just looking for feedbck. I know some of you guys have been doing this a long time and have had numerous truck setups? I have a service van so I am limited to what I can stock. What works and what doesn't?
In addition to the advice given above (the basic inside repair parts) I would say for discretionary items keep what you're good at selling. Whether its WAGS valves, comfort zone recirc pumps, braided washing machine connectors, or whatever. If its not something you feel comfortable promoting or if its not basic repairs if you dont promote anything, then no sense in wasting space and money.

We just stock most servicing parts. We head down to the store we just re-stock up once a week, good system for us and has been working years now.
