See, the problem is, the cost is prohibitive. Let's say you charge a nominal fee, and then you will get some businesses. Prove it works, and then slowly raise prices.

Yes, with the admission that you are not a plumbing professional, the old form message is sure to come forth. D.I.Y., moderators etc...

But you are right, no I'm not a plumber. I'm interested in plumbing but I don't have the money for trade school. So I'm thinking of trying to help a local plumber get more business.

Am I really going to get banned?
Yep that should do it...

Thanks. That makes sense. Prove it works first. I definitely believe I can send someone much more than $2,000 per month in business, a whole lot more.

The recommendation will be good and thorough explaining why I recommend the company.

While the mods are sleeping, watching TV or popping their pain meds, we can talk.

The idea is not bad, but the cost does not make any sense. For that price, I could have a local DJ endorse our company every day, reach more people for less money.

Where did you get that number? $2,000./mo.

Rushindo - There is a big flaw in your thinking - plumbing is a business where people only call you when they have a need. At any given time, the need for a plumber may be 1% of that group.

The price is based on how much money I think I can make a local plumber. If you made $10,000 per month from the continual recommendation, you don't think that is worth spending $2,000 per month?

As someone else said, it would have to be proven first I suppose.

And even then they will only call your suggestion if it is fresh on their minds...

If not they google search for plumbers or, pull out the phone book and call whatever add catches their eye first...

So there is limited value in your message.

1% of 10,000 = 100 people max

How many of them already have a plumber?
How many of them will take care of it themselves?
How many will choose your recommendation?

If you were lucky enough to get 10% (which is unrealistic IMHO), that would be 10 customers.

$2000.00 / 10 = $200.00 PER CUSTOMER.
