Question Tips for Starting a Business! Feedback Please.

I have been doing plumbing and heating now for twelve years, I believe that I ready to start out on my own full time. The "Side Work" is good, but not good enough to keep me busy fulltime. What I am looking for is some pointers such on marketing, start up costs, and that kind of thing. Thanks.

Very good advice - PC even has a manual you can download from his website.

No advice for you!

Do you advertise for jobs on Craigslist?

The "Side work" part hits a nerve with me. Good luck.

I'd start with craigslist while you get your ducks in a row.

Well I am setting up shop in North Eastern, CT. I have been using Craigslist and Service Magic for a little bit now. Both seem to work, Craigslist a little more than Service Magic, but I've generated some really nice projects from both.

Why does "Side Work" strike a nerve with you? You know that we've all done it at one point or another. When I mean side work, I mean doing plumbing work for myself, rather than through the company that I was working for. I still pay taxes one the income brought in.
