Default Quickbooks and your invoices

Who here uses quick books to print their invoices? When i write up an invoice i want to include information about the problem and then a lengthy description of the solution. So when i look at that invoice 3 years later i know exactly what i did. It seems quick books wont let me enter and save that much information on my invoices. There is a "customer message" field that you can include a thank you or what ever at the end of the invoice but it is character limited to about 100 characters so its no good for a lengthy description of what i did. HOW, can i modify these fields to do what i need in quick books, if at all? OR, how do you keep track of your individual customer complaints so you can pull them up a few years later and see exactly what their problem was?

Without entering a line item or price... click on the description area. You can type a book there as long as there is not any item selected. If you are wanting it on the invoice itself. Otherwise if you do not want it on the invoices, you can go into the customer notes and leave it on that individual job listings notes. CN

Price point is a program for Plumbers, cheap and works good, for me at least . Go to price point dot com, it is pretty good, we got the monthly up dates for a few years and then stopped, once you load the program.
I use quickboooks for proposals and contracts and Price point for by the hour work, I also use price point for getting numbers together, if you are close, I can get you the program, only good for 30 logins, then locks till you get a code, The guy who made it is pretty cool and helpful ! I have been using QB and PP for 10 plus years, and now the newer QB, you can email everything and that is really helpful.
