We pay for 6 holidays and 5 days for them to use however they wish. They can accumulate comp. time and use that when they get sick.

Other than that, no sick day pay and we have no intention of changing it.

No work = no pay.

I'm a union shop, so I only give what is required by the union. With that being said there is no provision for sick days or vacation. They do get pension and health insurance though.

I don't have any employees but I have never gotten a paid sick day in the 15 years I've been doing this.

My guys get 6 paid holidays and 10 vacation days; once that is used up they are SOL....unless they work extra hours or weekends to make up time lost

Talking no pay on sick days

We dont pay anyone for sick days either..

it truely amazes me how they can claim to be on their death beds all week long , and still find a way to make it in to work on pay day.....its like a miracle or something.

I have not been sick in probably 5 years running,
but I am the boss and have got it so easy...
no stress, no worries about makeing payroll, paying
for supplies, ..finding work to do, ect ect

2 paid days off during 1st year.
7 paid days off durind 2nd year
12 paid days off during 3rd through 5th year.
17 paid days off 6th year and above.

This is in addition to the 6 paid holidays.

We don't call them sick days or vacation. The way they're used is of no concern to me. Can be taken in 1/2 day increments. Does not acrue from year to year.

edit: We do have a "sick leave" policy. My wife said if I get sick, I have to leave. So far, so good. I still get dinner most nights.
