Marketing a plumbing company has changed so much in the past decade. For starters, we spend less on Yellow Page ads than we ever have before and now spend the majority of our marketing budget in the online realm.
I've really discovered that Google can be my friend or my enemy. Sounds silly but when your business flourishes or fails based on where you are in Google Search, it can really consume you.
Some of the things I've learned:
Google Adwords are EXPENSIVE.
Google Adwords work.
Being at the top 'organically' in search is better than Google Adwords.
Getting to the top 'organically' is tedious and expensive.
