Do you think people jump at this ?
The $50.00 an hour guy is a idiot, But the contractors preferred service over the cheapest price statment is not true here. Around here the builders are the lowest scum of the world. They presure you to do the work next to nothing and then string you out 60 or 90 days on payment. And then when somone under bids you by $100.00 they jump to them.

Yes, they only want the lowest bidder, even if his work is terrible, all to bankrupt it all when the lawsuits over shoddy workmanship start. Then they start a new S corp and start the process all over again.

Next time you meet a builder, I ask them how long they've been in business. If they say "20" years or something similar, I then ask them "Yeah, but under how many different names?"

I have also heard of outfits touting $50/hr. In fine print it is $50/hr, 1st 1hr, then jumps to what ever the level he uses normally...Does it work? Sure, but I don't think it does for long. I have talked to HVAC guys that do the same thing, gets their foot in the door.

Sir, I will respectfully say that there is no way to make a profit at $50/hr AND BE LEGITIMATE. Could you please explain how you pay yourself, and all of the taxes that go with that paycheck, general liability insurance, workers compensation, fuel, vehicle maintenance, advertising, licensing fees, equipment upkeep/replacement, etc etc all on $50 per hour?

At your rate of $ 50.00 I will hire you as a subcontractor and I will make a fine living off your back.

So your office is at home... (Cardboard Box Under the Overpass)

I understand...
I really do!

I thought about this...All I have to do is sell my house, my office...and live in my work van....down by the river!
I'd make a killing at $50/hour...no overhead! Literally. I'll just live in my van 24/7 and be on call.
