Default Oh LOOK!!!

TWINS!!!!
And just when you thought this thread was heading to internet heaven, never to be drudged up again.

I pulled up to this job today and sure enough, red toyota! My customer just bought his 3 weeks ago, the only difference between mine and his? Black leather interior and fog lamps.

This fellow is a school administrator of a local school, been friends with the family for years. Replaced 2 delta pb cartridges in their shower. Freaking house has 18' ceilings in the living room. I wouldn't want to even afford the welcome mat to this house; too expensive.

But it's all in the same...the coordination of relation to making similar buying decisions as my customers, and being complimented on it. It has taken on a whole new meaning. When I start running my E350 again, I'll set both trucks up to make a decision which one I take.

Off I ride into the sunset...

I am not sure how a Toyota truck is your brand. I can understand if all your trucks are red and that becomes your brand, the plumber in the red truck. I do agree 100% that it is great to connect with your client with things outside of plumbing to help build the rapport and relationship. Great job connecting and having your client remember you

Reading this forum piece I understand how each client is different. The characteristics are different, the way the client speaks is different, and their actions are different. A client that is stern, generally the conversation is more business another client may have more fun. The clients are treated in the way that fits their personality and mood. The quality of work stays the same with each client however communication is different with each client.

I have had customers who don't allow "workmen" to park in their driveway, lest you truck drip oil on their stamped concrete, or stone. I also have worked a high-rise building in La Jolla ( they slipped that in before the 30' coastal height limit went into effect!!!) and in that building, you can't go in the front door. You have to go through a security guard on the lower level, and use the slower than snail **** service elevator, where the maids on the upper floors tend to jam the door open while they shlep their stuff!! Anyway, all these things are a condition of the job, and you bill accordingly.

Been busy lately. There's 4 mansfield toilets in there right now along with a slew of other repairs I did this week.

Can't take it out until the rain stops, otherwise those boxes won't be boxes by morning.

I can see it coming now; garbage collection services are going to force me to get a dumpster. No way I replaced 7 toilets in my home in the past 10 days.

All 4 toilets are in good working condition.

Both properties just wanted those AS4's.

Forgive me if I find great irony in the fact that the outside of the vehicle is what impresses your customers....

Have they ever seen this?

Yes. Always. I've had customers literally leap out of the way before on my other truck when **** starts falling out the back.

It all washes away when those same customers waited 1-5 days for me to get there when I come with such good referral. They know I'm a workhorse in this profession.

I worked all last week with full blown gout in my left foot. A lot of plumbers would of been sitting in front of the tv nursing themselves. Not me. I looked horrible limping around. All the calls I bumped I now have to get done tomorrow and tuesday, which sucks!

I bumped any call that was 2nd floor plumbing. LOL!!!
