Default Bradford White ICON packages......

Just got this e-mailed to me today....

http://www.bradfordwhite.com/iconAccessMovie.asp

does anyone see a need for most of this technology???

has anyone even tried any of this stuff yet???

has any customers ever asked for any of this yet???

Am I supposed to try to convince customers to shell out
an extra $$$ for this ?

I do like the automatic shut off valve that can be installed on the heater.......
That I could probably sell.....for how much???

but I am wondering how the mixing valve accessory is going to work properly with most normal temp controlled pressure balanced faucets....

pretty exciteing stuff.....(yawn).

I kinda like it if the supply houses would honor the trade only sales of Bradford White, so they cant check your pricing but around here the wh*res sell to everyone, about the same price too. But it would still probably be hard to sell except to the gadget nerd. Most people could give a crap less about their water heater. Set it and forget it. With todays high efficiency heaters how much can you honestly save with a programmable thermostat? Enough to pay for this stuff? I doubt it.
Leak detection? In my neck of the woods most are installed in unfinished areas of basements. Finished areas it would be a great feature. Mixing valve I like but is it cost efficient compared to adding a regular one? With a guage no less. For christs sake all that gadgetry with an lcd screen and they give you a temperature stick for the pipe????? What no digital readout or at least a port for a guage?Like I said the occassional nerd with a few extra bucks would probably like the proprietary system made just for the water heater but I wouldn't buy any stock in it.
