Hi All

I have just passed my Red Seal exam for Canada and am currently in Ontario. I am finding the wages here are not good at all and was wondering if it's worth looking for work in Alberta?

A lot of the Ontario guys reckon Alberta is not a good place and I highly disagree as there seems to be only positive feedback on the net about it.

Kindest Regards
Paul

What is red seal? I'm in southern US. I'm not familiar with the term red seal.

Never heard of it. Must be some Ontario thing.

I'm no Alberta expert or anything, but my brother moved there right after a bankruptcy in B.C. (he was a better plumber than a businessman) and within several years (five-ish?) had bought a house and was building another. He's just north of Edmonton and works for a contractor that does work for Shell. There is good money to be made if you're in the right place and/or with the right company and don't mind hard work and cold ugly weather.
