Default new here, apprentice!

Heyya, I'm a second year apprentice from MA, just started my class hours, and trying to get my work hours in, but in this economy Im working 2-3 days a week , hopefully I wont be an apprentice forever.

Always on vw/audi car forums so I figured I'd join a forum related to my profession.

Welcome Mass Apprentice!

You can increase those hours worked by showing a lot of interest and applying a strong work ethic. Be at the job early enough to be ready to learn. Ask a lot of questions and don't be affraid to say you don't know something.

Study the codes and share what you've learned. You'll be suprised to find that some of the lessons you learn may not be fully known by the guys you are working with and asking them about it will show your interest in the trade.

Be Punctual
Be Dependable
Show an Interest in the Job
Be productive
Insure Quality
Display Initiative
Be Safe
Follow Instructions
Cooperate

Good Luck

5 years. If I had been able to get my apprentice card 2 months earlier it would have been 3 years, but I get a bit of a break because I went to a tech school and did about a year or so of work study during school.

Seems like I can learn a good deal from this place!
