Default Im on a mission

Hello All,

Im Mark and im a plumber in Australia and have been for about 20 years.

The reason I found this site is I was looking for a way to vent my frustration about handyman and DIYers, Today I went to a job and was told that my quote was twice as much as another quote, In investigation how this could be possible I found that the other quoter was not even a Plumber!

I think that something needs to be done and the plumbing authority does not believe that it is their job to look at people who are not licensed, They are meant to be there to protect our industry not destroy it!

I want to know if anyone else has had this problem!

Assuming you are a plumber.... Wouldn't you be annoyed if everyone did their own plumbing, How much work would you have then.

Not everyone can do their own plumbing Mark and even if they could not all of them would want to. The ones that can.....great for them. Why hate on a man for helping himself? I did a great job with my lights. I connected the white to the white wire and the black to the black wire and the bare copper ground to the green screw. Now why would I call an electrician for that when I connect garbage disposals, dishwashers and 220v water heaters? So the electrician will have work? Screw that guy
