Was looking at moving to the state of Florida in a 2 years , possibility.... if anyone here has that license, if they could fill me in and tell me if they are real ball breakers down there, like the state of Kentucky is with there licensing, i would be very grateful. thank you for the info! |

Welcome aboard, great to have you.
Contact the county that you want to live in and inquire with them regarding the requirements for their county journeyman's card. I say journeyman 'card' because it's not a license in the strict legal sense of the word. As far as I am aware, there isn't a state-wide journeyman's card. But I could be wrong.

The journeymans license is a state license and is adminstered by the state. I also had my masters from the state of Ohio and scored a 93 on the test here for a journeyman. It is an easy test, just have to know sizing for the drawing.
The questions are geared for new construction and very few questions concerning service. Less than 10 questions on gas. The only service question I remember was about repairing a delta faucet. Faucet dripping from the spout what do you do a. replace the seat and springs b. tighten the spacer ring c.replace faucet d replace cartridge Will give the right answer in awhile.
