I was born at 1957 in Moscow, Russia. At age 16, I started to work as apprentice for Plumber. Back there we had several grades for the classification. From 1973 to 1990, I worked as plumber on high-rise buildings. We did not have private homes in Russia during this time. In 1990, when I left Russia, I was already performing as a Master Plumber (I went to the school in 1980) to get more knowledge.
I immigrated to Canada in 1990 and started to work for a small plumbing company owned by Russian guy. In 1992, I got my license but you will be surprised, Ontario Plumbing codes do not tell about veeping tiles. Probably, this is a part of the Master License exam, but I did not get chance. My company is 24 hours emergency services and all my work is building maintenance, and new installation/repair/ drain cleaning inside the private homes. Believe or not, I never installed veeping tiles outside. I did install it, but it was inside the home and tile was running to the sum pump. This is not a case in my home. Can I call my self a PLUMBER? Let me know. If I am not a Plumber in your opinion, I will leave. Bashing is OK and it is easy, when the person hundred miles away |

I'll buy that you're a plumber, sig. Welcome to The Zone.
Weeping tile/drain tile (for groundwater drainage) is covered under a different part of the OBC. I'm an Ont. plumber too, so I'll reply to the other thread if I find anything helpful for you.
