Default WTB: Spartan 300, 1065 or Ridgid 7500

I'm looking for either a Spartan 300, 1065 or a Ridgid 7500.

Let me know what you have!

I'm looking to buy a machine sooner than later. I've had to pass up a few jobs and I am not too happy about it.

Thanks!!!

Call Allan J Coleman out in the city. Let them know you are intrested in a good used machine. If they do not have a used one in stock they will take your # so when one comes in they can call ya.

I'll have to give them a call Monday morning.

Any suggestions on which machine to really look for? I am only looking to do residential work. 6" max

I looked at a K750 today and IMO it seems pretty cheap.

We have two K750's they do what they where built for. But you must know how to use a drum machine well. I would not recommend it for a beginner. As for a good all round machine the Spartan 300 would be great. You can get it with the Magnum .55 cable so it can easily handle 6" lines, as well as you can set it up to swap drums and put on the Spartan 100 drums. My dad has one in his truck with the large drum with the magnum cable, then the 1/2" drum and the 13/32 drum. He is real happy with it.

If you want a full sized machine I would go with the Spartan 1065 over the K7500. I have used the K-7500 in the past and was really unimpressed. One of their so called sell points other than the plastic drum is the stair climbers that flip up towards the handle bars to be used as an easy lift to help load it on the truck is a bad idea IMHO. If the bed of your truck is dirty them there stair climbers will pick up all the dirt and much and transfer to the carpeted stairs. Where the Spartan has a removable easy lift wheel so your stair climbers stay cleaner. Also the 1065 is a much more stable machine.

When you call there talk to Shane, Marvin is on vacation. Shane will be able to give you a good deal.

I myself like the K-7500...
That stair climber gets it in and out of my truck with 1 hand...
