Talking general appearance of the trucks...

I went to new trucks primarily because we were making enough money we could. However, the surprise was I didn't have to work on the trucks anymore because they were maintained from day one and there were no surprises. It also made it easier to establish a consistency with our trucks.

I guess its all about the money,.
wether you have it to burn or not..
.
we have been very lucky. with the used vans and
...have not bought a dog yet...

our trucks still look pretty good, mine is beginning to
rust out in the back...with 215k on it....

and I am debateing more in my mind now
about appearance over longevety.....
the general appearance and first impressions are important
when you pull into the driveway in a rusting out truck...
you dont want to have people worried about oil dripping
on their driveways, ect...

you put 8 k in a truck and save yourself
that 40k price tag for a new one

in my mind, you can buy a whole lot of truck
repairs for that kind of money
