Thank you for that Mark. Looks like that one is up in Canada, Eh!

I will give them a call today and get further details. I am really hoping to get a 14' box if possible, but I will check that out.

Talking what is so good about these???

I am just curious about what is the advantage of these
over a GMC, or Ford 350 that were used for moving by Penske ??

just wondering if it is the low profile
or is it the deizel motor>>

The weight they can handle and their turning radius. They are very nimble when trying to make a u-turn or 3-point turn. I had a gas engine cab-over by GMC (Isuzu) and it was a POS compared to the Isuzu diesel.

I don't know what Hackney bodies usually go for but that seems like a fair price for a new truck. I was paying more than that for our trucks back in the mid 90s.

every truck I have ever bought had at least 70k on them and I have never had a problem with them...

I always got them for about 8k

I cant see putting that much into something you are
going to lug sewer machines around in....or the employees are going to tear up

I know it probably makes you money in the long run,
but to me the best payment you can make is as little or no payment....pay cash if you can

I have done the used truck route before as well and it was a time where I was pulling most of the repairs myself. We always figured a truck wasn't really broke in until 250,000 miles. My son-in-law currently has one of my 84s with 320,000 miles on it and my brother sold one of my 69s with 370,000 miles on it. I went to new trucks primarily because we were making enough money we could. However, the surprise was I didn't have to work on the trucks anymore because they were maintained from day one and there were no surprises. It also made it easier to establish a consistency with our trucks.
