Who's taking the long weekend? - Page 2 - Plumbing Zone

I am hooking a home up to a sewer tomorrow. If all goes well it will be done in one day. Got the pumper truck scheduled for early morning, the 12 tons of stone right after that, and the pipe will show up around noon. By then The septic tank will be caved in and filled in, and the trench all dug out with a nice gravel bed.

Phone will dictate if we will have Friday off completely. So far, I have been able to schedule everything for next week.

Boating, beach, dancing, and fireworks are scheduled.

I'm working on Friday. I'm going to try and take Saturday off but I'm always on call so you never know

Urgh.. OK my sewer line hook up ran into tons of snags. City did not mark the right stub,(they marked a storm sewer stub) so I had to open up the park way bigger than I wanted to to find the stub. Of course once I got down to 6 feet, ground water starts to fill the hole.

OK if that was not enough the place I got the pipe and fittings from was supposed to deliver the goods by noon. I call them at three, they tell me there is no order, then tell me oh it was set for Monday, but we will get it out to you asap. Four o clock comes around guy shows up with the pipe only... no fittings. So I call them and tell them have someone wait up for me I will be there in 45 minutes to pick them up. He calls back two minutes later telling me a truck is on the way with my fittings. I waited till 6:30, they where a no show and the real pisser is they are closed tomorrow.

Guess that what I get for thinking this was going to be a nice simple job.
