Apparently the kid's skin was falling off them when they pulled them out of there. Horrible.

Sad...
I wouldn't wish for a trip to a burn center by anyone, let alone a couple of young children...

I guess that no matter how much we curse those FVIR units...
They are a good thing.

Burns are not fun. I used to think that people who got burned was just making the most of an un fortunate situation. Then I was removing gas tanks from cars one day with a welder. I misplaced the rod, pierced the gas tank and BOOM! I had 3rd degree burns up the back of my leg. Amazing is that to deal with pain the human brain shuts off the nerves to the injured part of the body. Bad part is that when the crises is over, your brain forgets how to make that part work again. You have to teach yourself to re use that part.

Painful? Oh yes! very. Never again do I want to go through that again. For those who never experienced 3rd degree burns, dont even wish it on your worst enemy.

It happened to my son at age 19. Been there, done that. I still awaken at night with the nightmare of seeing him in the hospital with all those burns on his face, neck, chest, and arms. Scariest s##t I have ever been through, not to mention what it did to him. He is ok now except for the permanent scars, but I will never ever forget it. Do not mess with gasoline period!
