Default Power miser info

Has any one had any experiance with the Kenmore power miser heaters? A neighbor had one put in about 5 years ago and the thing keeps losing its pilot. They have had sears out and even changed the heater, and keep replacing the thermocouple. I think it has something to do with the filter on the bottom. They say they clean it regular but It has a ceramic filter (I think) . Any info is helpful,. Thanks

Direct compressed air from the top, via the combustion chamber, strong shop from the bottom simultaniously. I use a homemade 3/8" copper line attached to an air gun to get full coverage. shop vac is key. Blow the lint out the way it came in.

Is W/H near the laundry? If it is adjacent to washing machine , perhaps lint is fouling air intake.

I meant to say if dryer is close to W/H, not washing machine. But you understood me despite the error. Maybe you could service their dryer vent (if this is actually problem). Perhaps it is dis-connected in rear of machine.
