Plumbing Inspection Companies? - Plumbing Zone

What are your thoughts on private companies doing inspections? I know they are all licensed but i think that there is way to much "interpretation" of the code.

They have a general ides of all/ many trades, some had professions in one trade or another, but really they only can give a general idea, they are kind of like those all in one building inspectors, good at framing, but don't know much about anything else.I get these guys often ask me plumbing questions. There is now way for one person to know that much I've always said. I guess there the next best thing to nothing.

plumber1a the guys here are actually licensed plumbers, but i do have problems, like i said, with how they interpret.

So, these are plumbers inspecting plumbing? or private companies inspecting everything? what are they licensed to do?

Plumbers inspecting plumbing, for the State Of Illinois, but work for companies that only do inspections and plan revue etc.
