HI everyone, wanted to introduce myself. My business partner and I just filed paperwork for the contractors license and should be in business in about 3 weeks. He is a veteran plumber of 27 years spanning 3 countries. I have never plumbed. He was in the commercial construction business and built some big projects but those are all gone for the most part. Our company's focus will be plumbing service. I have owned a carpet cleaning company for 19 years. Lucky for me I haven't been affected by this recession at all. I can owe that to the philosophy of my company. Give the highest quality service and create relationships with the customers. I've lurked for a few days and really enjoyed myself here. Needless to say I'm very excited, this industry seems fun.

Welcome and congratulations. I'm new here too. My advice to you is always stay busy building clients and making a positive name. Customer service is key and always do a quality job. That's how I've learned to make good mony in this.

I agree, relationships built off of positive experiences will go a lot farther than big yellow page ads. Thanks for the welcome

Well I see few problems so far.....

1. Introductions go under the Introduction Thread You wer close to it but little off.

2. In your intro I did not see how you are a plumber???? carpet cleaner-plumber don't see the connection...

3. Your partner I hope he holds a State Plumbing Contractor License not an General Contractor license. If it's the GC license I believe if you are preforming or advertising Plumbing your breaking the law in almost all 50 states..

other wise welcome!

Now in WI, you not only need a Plumbing contractor license but, a seperate state license. Just another way to make money from the state. They say because too many master plumbers were signing off on permits for cash and having someone else do the work. Now the master has to be registered with the business.

This site is for plumbing professionals already in the trade, you appear to not be, so I ask you not to post on this site.

Thanks
