Did they give you full price for the copper, lots of the scrap yards around here will only give you the full price if its "clean" copper. I asked him what does he mean by clean, he said no solder joints and such. So One year I cut all the fittings off and had a pile of copper and a pile of the fittings with solder on them. He still refused to gave full price, the excuse given was the pipe was not shiny.

I did the same thing as you. When I was there unloading it, the mexican said, "why did you pull it all apart? He isn't gonna pay you anymore." |

Ok, sewer ratz if you are not going to be serious.... we had 757 lbs of yellow brass at 1.23 $ 931.00 475 lbs of #2 copper at $2.84 lb $1349.00 (thought we only got 2.75) grand total I dont know if copper has been much higher than this or not for a very long time. I am glad we cleared out the building yesterday... Thats too much to be left laying around.. the only down side to it is they gave me a check
