Default Freezing

How do you guys keep solven, spray bottles ect from freezing in the truck?

This year has been a real B!TCH of a cold year and I went to do a gas pressure test the other day and the soap/water spray bottle frozen solid. Same day had a can of multi-purpose glue frozen.

So give me some ideas

I don't want to unload all this stuff over night

I put all that stuff in a milk crate and set it on the floor of the passenger side. Usually during the week its ok, because I run my truck a lot. Keep the truck nice and warm, that stuff will hold over night. May have to bring it in over the weekend if your not going to be using the truck for the two days.

Pretty much used to working in the freezing cold up here. I have a bag of "goodies" that can't handle been frozen so I bring it in every night. It's just something that you have to do if you can't park in a climate controlled setting. (I could in my old shop but that was then and this is now. *sigh* I miss my old shop!)
Other things like hammer drills that won't function at -40 I also bring in if I know I'll be needing them the next day.

For leak detection I use this stuff. Says it's good to -35F but I've used it colder conditions than that and it's worked okay. The pic is the gallon jug version to refill spray and dauber bottles:

We had a cold snap that lasted 8 weeks about 18 yrs ago. Never warmed more than -38 (F-C? Who gives a crap at that temp!) Company I worked for bought a thawing machine that fall and we were about the only outfit at the time capable of thawing plastic waterlines.
My van ran 24/7 for six weeks except when getting fuel. I never got any sleep for longer than 2 or 3 hours at a time either. I'd just lay my head down and RRRIIIINNNNGGG!!! there'd be another call.

Put a big addition on my house that year.

Default To use

I use windshield washer fluid for my liquid and dish soap in winter time. I keep it in the back of the truck in the bins and it doesn't freeze. If your still concern get the anti freeze washer fluid.

Another thing I do some times is if I'm at a customers house and forgot to fill the bottle back up or what ever. If I'm just checking in a small area I ask them for some window cleaner it bubbles up too.

Just don't use it instead of water spray when your torch starts a little flaming action...
