Default do i need a licensed plumber for this?

i recently bought an older home, have been in it now for 3 months. the home already had a garden house hooked up to the outside faucet. what i want to do is buy a new garden hose to replace the old one that is there. do i need to get a licensed plumber to take off the old garden hose and screw on the new one or is this something i can do myself?

Damn I'm stumped on this one.

Does the end of the hose have those little fine grooves in them that look like a corkscrew, and when you touch it to another it stays hooked?

Need a lil' help in here!!!!

i'm not sure cause i don't have the tools to remove it to see. do i need a corkscrew to get it off? one of my friends uncles brothers knows this guy who has an icecream truck, and he said that when i do put the new one on, to make it come off easier in the future i should put butter on the end of it before it gets screwed back on.

Sounds like you need the services of a professional. Make sure you pull a permit, inspectors are super picking on proper coiling.
