What does it mean when I click on someone's screen name and there is no "send this person a private message" option in the drop down menu?

Am I being ignored?

No, there is an option in your user menu that you can select not to receive PM's.

I really don't know this person and couldn't imagine what I might have done to offend them since I never say anything that is offensive to anyone here on the PZ

In your control panel you can turn pm's off entirely or accept them only from a contact list you put together. Maybe that's what's going on?
