Nathan,

Is there away to limit the number of post per thread, some thread reach in excess 100+ on here, loss of interest in a thread can be a result in too many post per thread.

Are you saying if a thread is too active, people lose interest in it? I understand if the thread is a couple of people going back and forth others may lose interest but it seems locking the thread will just start a new thread with the same stuff. I think what we need here is for more people to understand it is okay to agree to disagree.

I don't think vbulletin has a post per thread setting in it anyways, I tried to google it to no avail.

Yesterday I closed a hotly debated political thread on the Ridgid Forum at 100 posts but it had more to do with complaints from other members.

Yea thank goodness we don't have a forum on here that is for politics, no telling what could happen in it.

Seems to me no one has done anything that was so terrible other than annoy the people who hafta listen to the *****ing via instant message. And for their sake dont keep it going. Thats understandable. You know people can always use the ignore feature and make a problem person go away.....that seems like a reasonable solution unless they also wish to do the same thing they are making complaints about by making responding posts. It takes two or more to keep it going so no ONE person is to have the finger pointed at him or her. Hope you gentlemen have a great day

We don't have a Political Forum at Ridgid but we do have those interested in current events who will post in the "Open Discussion" forum on occasion. As long as they keep it respectful, I let them have at it.

Yea over on CT there was a Politics and Religion forum it got wild at times, I don't see it listed now, wonder what happened.
