My op did include the closed forum idea...take that for what it's worth. But also was looking back into making intro mandatory. As stupid as they seemed to be be, they did seem to keep the diy away. The mods have done a good job closing diy threads. Perhaps when someone tries to join, they have to answer some simple plumbing questions or something along those lines?

A wholesaler, representative, or manufacturer might not be able to answer simple plumbing questions.

We weed the bad ones out quickly.

We don't want new members to "walk" away after being hounded for an intro.

If you feel like a new member might be lying about their trade, and they ask a stupid question. Just don't answer it. They will give up and move on.
