Facebook, Twitter, etc. Don't you just hate how these days people are always posting what they are doing every five minutes. Nobody cares man, step away from your computer.
Ok rant over. I am going now to take a poop.

Coffee will do that to you...

That's why I always do the coffee 1st thing so I can get all the pooping out of the way at once.

What does todays news have to say? anything interesting.

Oh my I just farted and it was nasty...

BTW You will not find me on FaceBook...
I have no desire to have my "Private Life" plastered across an internet billboard.
I cannot understand why people would willingly have their personal, & professional information intermingle on a site with so many privacy issues that is configured to put everything about a person into one giant turd for the entire world to browse through with so many security settings that it would take a month to set them up if you were the person who designed the site and they reset with code changes to the site regularly.

People are just dumb!

Customer calls me up, I forget to call back that night, then I push it to friday.

Friday comes and goes, I pull a no show.

I get ahold of the customer on sunday, apologize and set the call for tuesday for 10-12pm.

Once again,

I miss this appointed time, feel bad about it, call at 1:15pm and tell them I'll be there in the next 30 minutes. I don't get a call back, so I head on up, knock on the door and then sit, wait in the truck for over a half hour. Then they call.

The husband, upset states that he waited, and since I was so late in calling that they've contacted another plumber to take care of the situation, thanks but no thanks.

^^^^

Everything above is well deserved, I take the blame for my way of being. But read the story to the relationship leading up to this:

I've done work for these people twice, both times I've told them their water pressure is too high. Like 110psi high. They ignored it, blew me off completely and didn't take me serious.

Apparently they must of talked to someone in the past 12 months or something of the nature and NOW they believe what I'm saying?

Look, I don't care if you "now" believe the logic I was pushing out there to give the cause and effect ritual that's playing out and costing you money.

I took high offense to them blowing me off...and even though I didn't exactly want to do this to them...it's like my mind automatically ignored time schedules, ignored writing down the phone number, ignored being on time today. I'm not making this up. Almost like it's in auto pilot for me that this would happen...letting them know who's not important. << That wasn't my intention though...it really wasn't. But it sure came off that way.

There's also a bumper sticker on their vehicle that I noticed a while back one of the times I worked for them, and I took offense to it. That's another part of the equation I think played heavily with my attitude.

I bought the materials for this job, I need the money, I made numerous attempts to go do this job but for some damn reason the mind had a different plan.

And for some reason...I'm kinda glad that I'm not working for these people. I don't like it when people take my knowledge and slough off with it, not understanding what 50 other people in the neighborhood have already addressed.

This happens a few times a year, have no clue it is coming but it just happens. Almost like unintentional reprisal for wasting my time spelling out the situation and ignoring it. I do not do this to every customer in this situation...it happens randomly.

I do such good work for so many, so many people have me back in their home, but sometimes the mind will build a defense mechanism that kills the work relationship almost in self preservation...and today was another one of those days.

Few weeks ago it was someone trying to get me to put in plumbing incorrectly, in a bad situation with a F'd up wall. Weeks before that, guy hustled me down for a price over the phone for a gas line rework, I purposely low-balled and dragged him 2.5 weeks before he finally got fed up.

So that's where I am at. Almost like it's set in motion before I can even stop it. Odd indeed but I couldn't tell you what would keep me from doing it again.

Sounds like a classic case of burnout. I know I have it.

With a lillte bit of IDGAF thrown in, for good measure.
