Default How to find a car?

I built a 70 Roadrunner about 18 years ago. I would like to re-find it and buy it, if possible. Anybody know how to find a car by the VIN?

RM23NOG00189573

Carfax and others just go back to 1980, when the required VIN became 17 digits.

Why not start with who you sold it to? If he kept a good many years, it may be easier to track.

Good luck trying to relive your youth.

I was just playing with the reliving comment. Sometimes we let things go and then realize we should have held on to them. Been there, done that.

Here's a suggestion, contact a local car club and explain your dilemma. They are always tracking down original parts and stuff for older cars. I would think they can point you in the right direction.

We had a case a year or two ago where a car was stolen and missing for 30 years or so and it was found in someone's barn. It was returned to the family - nice story.

BTW - Please don't think I was being flip - I wasn't.

You don't have to try to relive your youth, if you never grew up!

Maybe try to find some suppliers? I can't imagine these cars would be so common. Maybe there's one or two places to buy the parts from?
