Default Just postponed a call due to rain.

Repeat customer, clogged sewer, thunderstorm, I said no, customer complained, said I'd run the machine if she would hold the cord while I did it. Customer will wait until tomorrow when it's not raining.

If its an outside clean out I use my utility tent. http://www.sharpesafety.com/catalog/...y.php3?ID=1131 many that call me with backed up sewers do not want to wait. I had a steady customer that been using us for 30 years call another company due to me not able to get there the same day. I was on a dig up and my brother was out of town.

Sounds like a plan, except this clean out is in the bushes, but I'll consider one for other jobs, how much do they cost?

Never mind, I see the cost at the bottom.

That's good advice, to either use the tent or not do the job in the rain.

If one plumber could do all the work there would only be one plumber. We always delay a call when there is a risk of lightning or if it would involve using electricity in the rain. I understand the customer has an immediate need but the risk is too great. If they call someone else...so be it.

Susie Sewer says, "Wow, why wait when you can keep on working even in thunderstorms, on rooftops at night, or standing in water! Get a Trojan Stallion "Battery-Powered" Machine! No cord for anyone to hold!!
Why still be taking the risk?
Electrocution can kill you.........!!!
Get aTrojan: "DC" STALLION or COLT (sink machine). The only brand of "DC" Sewer & Drain Cleaning Equipment, available. You'll go crazy over the high-powered 9.5Hsp Motor!
It's amazing to me, how many guys still haven't switched to
DC POWER!
Be safe............... go Cordless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agrees totally. We lost a good plumber here last year from that very exact thing. Cord in the water, ground on machine was faulty,,, ( bad cord) he is know longer with us. I rod sewers from roof top if no C/O's. But I draw the line if dark or pushing darkness. If we are willing they will let us, then they'll whisper under thier breath "what idiots".
