Default Diabetic

Is any one else on here a diabetic. I have been for about 22 yrs now. Just started to wear the insulin pump and have already spilled glue on it and melted a hole in it. This is the biggest reason I dont do drain cleaning. Makes it kind of tough to stay busy since new construction is so slow. just curious

I'm not but my mother was and had her leg amputated because of it. She later passed away from a brain aneuyrism. My sister was also and she passed away last year after going into a diabetic coma. Her own fault though as she refused to quit drinking alcohol.

Default Type 2

I been a type 2 for 2 1/2 yers not doing so well with it.. Meds made me pretty sick. SoI quit taking them for about 1 1/2 Now I got new meds and started them last week. They don't make me sick but doctor said it will take about 3 weeks before I can tell if they are working correctly..

I know I shouldn't be playing around with it.. that's why I got my head on straight now and tring to correct my mistakes on this issue. When I woke up it was 255-275 now it's 220-195 so it working but slowly.. before dinner I'm 151 So hope fully by the the 3rd week I can be in the 70-120 range..

What does the Doc got you on??
I take Actoes 15 mg. use to take Metiforman?? 850mg made me sicker than a dog..

If you are at 255-275 when you wake up you may be headed for major problems. The reason Diabetes is so dangerous is you can feel great while things in your body are starting to break down. Do yourself a favor and make sure you take care of yourself now. You may want to ask your doctor to check your A1C.

Good luck-Mark

I ended up stopping my meds due to insurance issues (lost it due to funding) But once I got onto a new plan they doc checked my A1C and it was 10.8 He put me back on my meds the old doc had me on plus some Now when I wake up my blood sugar is around the 90's and sometimes during the day it will go as low as 76 My next A1C test is coming up some time this month I let you all know what it went to since I restarted the meds.

It's all the processed food we Americans eat. Funny how most of the rest of the world doesn't have this problem.
